The successful candidate will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement engineering solutions. Responsibilities Collaborate with internal and external customers to understand their needs and requirements. Transform high-level requirements into detailed feature requirements. Conduct technical engineering tasks, including operational analyses and trade-off studies, to define system design and subsystem requirements. Develop solutions for creating and delivering systems and subsystem features. Generate deliverable documents such as engineering plans, requirements specifications, interface control documents, and operational concepts. Present technical design proposals and reports to customers, ensuring clarity and precision. Support work planning and cost estimation throughout the project lifecycle. Assist in validation and verification activities of the overall system. Provide support and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering career growth. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or Engineering Physics. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field. 3 years of experience in the design and delivery of large-scale systems. Understanding of various engineering lifecycles applicable to complex programs and software development. Familiarity with modern software development methodologies and tools. Proficiency in Matlab, Python, MS Excel, AGI's Systems Tool Kit (STK), Requirements Management tools such as DOORS, and MS Office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer interaction skills. Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment. Exceptional problem-solving abilities. Team-friendly attitude and willingness to learn. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in developing cloud-based applications. Understanding of machine learning and deep learning. Knowledge of engineering lifecycles relevant to complex programs and software development. Work Environment This position requires working onsite four days a week in Richmond, BC. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, BC. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
