CNC Operator Location: Edmonton (Nisku), AB Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:15 AM - 4:00 PM + Overtime Night Shift: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM + Overtime About the Role Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the CNC Operator is responsible for safely setting up, operating, and monitoring Mazak and Haas CNC lathes while producing high-quality machined components. The successful candidate will work from production orders, drawings, and specifications to manufacture parts accurately and efficiently, ensuring customer requirements and production deadlines are met. Responsibilities Interpret production orders, part specifications, material requirements, drawings, and related documentation. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining of components. Set up, operate, and monitor Mazak and Haas CNC lathes in a safe and efficient manner. Modify and troubleshoot machine programs during production runs as required. Utilize measuring instruments, gauges, and inspection tools to verify product quality and dimensional accuracy. Manufacture routine, complex, and custom components from raw materials according to specifications. Complete and update production orders, routers, and related documentation accurately. Understand and follow the sequence of operations required for production orders. Record labour time, scan router operations, enter production quantities, and consume materials using the Blue Terminal system. Safely operate overhead cranes and pallet jacks to move materials and finished products throughout the facility. Handle materials and equipment carefully to prevent damage and maintain product quality. Prioritize workloads and complete assigned work orders within established deadlines. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including routine machine housekeeping. Report equipment, quality, safety, or maintenance concerns to the Plant Supervisor. Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to support production goals and on-time delivery. Qualifications Legally entitled to work in Canada. Minimum 2 years of CNC lathe machining experience. Experience operating Mazak and/or Haas CNC lathes preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. CNC Machinist or CNC Operator certification/ticket is considered an asset. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions. Experience using precision measuring instruments and quality inspection tools. General knowledge of manufacturing processes within the oil and gas industry is an asset. Understanding of safe work practices, quality assurance standards, and Lean Manufacturing principles. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working Conditions Manufacturing shop environment in Nisku, Alberta. Regular standing, walking, bending, and working around machinery. Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while on the shop floor. Regular lifting of materials and components up to 50 lbs. without mechanical assistance. Overtime may be required based on production demands.

Requirements
