This is a deeply hands-on and hard-core engineering role embedded within a cross-functional delivery team, responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying production-grade applications on the Azure platform using modern Microsoft technologies. Responsibilities Hands on technical contribution Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Design, develop, test, and maintain complex enterprise applications and integrations. Collaborate with business, architecture, QA, and project teams to deliver solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and production issues. Participate in Agile planning, estimation, code reviews, and continuous improvement activities. Technical delivery leadership Track technical progress and readiness against project milestones Identify and resolve technical risks, dependencies, and blockers Coordinate cross-team dependencies with Platform, Security, Infrastructure, Data and DevOps Ensure timely technical decisions and escalate delivery risks Ensure the development team has what it needs to deliver Keep technical work aligned with project objectives and timeline Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to development teams. Deliverables Solution designs, technical specifications, and development estimates. High-quality application code, APIs, integrations, and system enhancements. Unit, integration, and system test artifacts supporting solution quality. Technical documentation, knowledge-transfer materials, and implementation guides. Production-ready software releases that meet WorkSafeBC security, quality, and performance standards. Mandatory Requirements Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline. 6+ years of professional software development experience, including unit testing, production support, and problem resolution using Microsoft Azure technologies in an Agile environment. 3+ years of experience in a Software Development Lead, Technical Lead, Senior Developer, Architect, or equivalent role. Strong hands-on experience with the Microsoft technology stack, including: C# / .NET (ideally .NET 8+) and Web APIs Angular / TypeScript / RxJS Azure, particularly Functions, Service Bus, Storage, Application Insights, and Key Vault REST APIs and system integrations Azure DevOps and CI/CD Proven experience delivering enterprise-grade applications across the full software development lifecycle. Strong understanding of application architecture, design patterns, APIs, system integration, databases, testing, and troubleshooting. Strong full-stack development and problem-solving skills. Experience with DevOps, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and production support. Demonstrated ability to own features end-to-end, work independently through ambiguity, resolve complex issues, and deliver high-quality solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with business and technical teams. Demonstrated technical leadership, including mentoring and guiding developers. Strong leadership and delivery skills, including technical decision-making, planning and estimation, risk and dependency management, cross-team coordination, stakeholder communication, and the ability to unblock delivery teams.
