H&S Safety Advisor Port Moody, BC | 12-Month Contract | Oil & Gas Airswift is currently seeking an experienced H&S Safety Advisor for a long-term contract opportunity supporting a major energy client at the Burrard Products Terminal in Port Moody, British Columbia. This position is ideal for safety professionals with extensive experience in oil & gas, industrial operations, contractor safety management, field safety inspections, critical control assurance, and high-risk work activities. Key Responsibilities Conduct field-based safety assessments and inspections Perform Critical Control Assurance (CCA) reviews Support safe execution of high-risk work activities Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings Review contractor safety performance and compliance Provide field coaching and hazard identification support Assist with incident investigations Support development and implementation of EH&S plans Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements Required Qualifications 10+ years of HSE / H&S experience Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, Pipeline, Terminal, or Heavy Industrial experience CRSP, CRST, CSO, OHS Diploma, OHS Degree, or equivalent safety qualifications Experience supporting: Confined Space Entry Working at Heights Excavation Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Control of Hazardous Energy Strong contractor management experience Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Bilingual English/French required Safety Advisor, H&S Specialist, HSE Specialist, CRSP, CRST, CSO, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Safety, Oil and Gas Safety, Contractor Safety, Field Safety, Terminal Operations, Energy Sector, High-Risk Work, British Columbia Jobs, Port Moody Jobs.

Requirements

Requires 10 or more years of HSE/H&S experience in oil and gas, energy, petrochemical, pipeline, terminal, or heavy industrial operations, along with a recognized safety qualification such as CRSP, CRST, CSO, or an OHS diploma or degree. Candidates need contractor management experience, knowledge of safety regulations, experience with specified high-risk work activities, strong communication skills, and English-French bilingual ability.
