Turnaround Scheduler Location: Calgary, AB Contract: 1-year contract Schedule: Monday to Friday Travel: Travel to site required. LOA/camp accommodations will be provided as applicable, with flights included for individuals travelling from outside the province. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Turnaround Scheduler to support the planning and execution of major turnaround activities. Based in Calgary, this position will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring detailed turnaround schedules to support safe, efficient, and timely execution. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience leading scheduling activities for major turnarounds and strong proficiency with Primavera P6. Key Responsibilities Lead scheduling activities throughout the turnaround lifecycle, including planning, execution, and closeout. Develop and maintain detailed, integrated turnaround schedules using Primavera P6 (P6). Work closely with turnaround leadership, planners, maintenance, operations, engineering, contractors, and other stakeholders to incorporate activities and milestones into the overall schedule. Establish schedule logic, activity sequencing, durations, milestones, and critical paths. Maintain and update schedules throughout turnaround execution based on actual progress and changing priorities. Track schedule performance and identify potential delays, constraints, conflicts, and critical-path impacts. Generate regular schedule reports, progress updates, look-ahead schedules, and other scheduling metrics for turnaround leadership. Support daily execution tracking and communicate schedule deviations or emerging risks to the appropriate stakeholders. Assist with schedule optimization and recovery planning when required. Ensure schedule information is accurate, current, and aligned with turnaround objectives and execution plans. Participate in turnaround planning and progress meetings and provide scheduling expertise to support decision-making. Travel to site as required to support turnaround planning and execution activities. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience as a Turnaround Scheduler, Senior Scheduler, or similar scheduling role within an industrial environment. Demonstrated experience leading turnaround scheduling activities on major turnarounds. Strong hands-on expertise with Primavera P6, including schedule development, maintenance, updating, and reporting. Strong understanding of turnaround planning, scheduling, and execution processes. Experience with critical-path analysis, schedule progress measurement, and execution tracking. Ability to manage complex schedules involving multiple disciplines, contractors, and concurrent work activities. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced turnaround environment and respond to changing execution priorities.
