Position: Senior Network & Wireless Consultant (CCIE Wireless) Duration: 1 Year Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (Mostly Remote) Engagement Model: Contract Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only) About the Role Akkodis is seeking a Senior Network & Wireless Consultant (CCIE Wireless) for a contract position with a client in Toronto, ON. The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced networking and wireless professional with strong expertise in designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting complex enterprise Cisco wireless and networking environments. The successful candidate will act as a technical lead across strategic infrastructure projects, providing architecture guidance, deployment leadership, technical mentorship, customer consulting, and escalation support. Services to be Provided Design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade Cisco wireless solutions Lead large-scale wireless refresh and migration projects Design and deploy high-density wireless environments Conduct wireless site surveys, predictive RF modeling, validation surveys, and performance optimization Design and deploy Cisco Catalyst switching and Nexus data center infrastructure Support core, distribution, and access layer network architectures Design and implement WAN and SD-WAN connectivity Work with Layer 2 and Layer 3 network services, including VRF and multicast Troubleshoot complex wireless, wired, routing, switching, and security issues Lead technical workshops and customer discussions Develop high-level and low-level design documentation Create implementation plans, Statements of Work (SOW), and as-built documentation Provide technical mentorship and escalation support to engineering teams Support RFP and proposal responses Deliver technical presentations and infrastructure reviews to customers and stakeholders Nice to Have (Desired Experience) Cisco CCNP Enterprise Wireless Cisco Meraki Certification Ekahau Certified Survey Engineer (ECSE) Cisco Security Certifications Aruba Wireless Certifications Fortinet NSE/FCP Certifications Experience in healthcare, government, education, financial services, or large enterprise environments Experience with large-scale Cisco ISE deployments Experience with Cisco Meraki wireless and security solutions Experience with wireless location services and RTLS implementations Experience with high-density wireless environments Experience with hospital and campus wireless deployments Expertise Required (Top 3 Required Skills) Active CCIE Wireless certification 7+ years of experience designing and deploying large-scale Cisco wireless environments 10+ years of enterprise networking experience with strong consulting and technical leadership experience How to Apply Submit your resume in confidence to via the Akkodis Canada website.
