Job summary
JOB SUMMARY The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing and replenishing the daily breakfast bar. Through offering exceptional service, ensuring guests of the hotel are comfortable and satisfied with their experience. The breakfast attendant must maintain a clean, safe and sanitary environment for our guests. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Provide personalized service to all guests. · Responsible for setting up and maintaining the breakfast buffet as required by brand standards · Follow menu requirements as provided by the brand · Preparing foods such as fresh fruit, breads, pastries, batters and coffee · Stocking coffee, juice and milk · Setting up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other paper products · Setting out/arranging cold food, such as pastries, cereals, etc. · Preparing and setting up hot food items · Restocking items consistently throughout the breakfast hours and for the next day · Maintain the breakfast area in a clean condition during the hours of operation · sanitizing tables and chairs as they are vacated · Cleaning buffet counter and emptying trash as needed · Washing serving equipment and returning to storage · Returning reusable food supplies to storage · Check the cleaning frequency chart and do the required cleaning each day. · Function as a pleasant, hospitable host by greeting guests and offering assistance. · Be sure that established service procedures are followed at all times. Thank the guest, and ask him/her to come back again. · Advise the Front Office or General Manager of any complaints so that they can be rectified immediately. · Responsible for checking inventory levels of all food, beverages and supply items on the buffet and replenish them as needed for each day. · Assist Front Office or General Manager with ordering or purchasing food supplies. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS · High school graduate or equivalent experience. · Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace and used by guests visiting the workplace. · Superior guest services skills. · Must possess Provincial serve safe certificate. MENTAL EFFORT · Listening and mental attentiveness in fulfilling guests requirements. PHYSICAL EFFORT · Sets-up and cleans up Breakfast buffet on a daily basis. WORKING CONDITIONS · Infrequent handling of queries from guests, and property staff. · Works morning shift, with minimum supervision. · Maintain good personal appearance at all times; wear proper uniform and name tag as prescribed by hotel. TYPE OF SUPERVISION REQUIRED Reports to the hotel General Manager. Works under general instructions to prioritize and complete assigned tasks.

Requirements
