Location: Scarborough (On-site) Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with availability required to work one Saturday every three weeks Language: English, strong written and verbal communication skills Background Check Requirements: Criminal record check, credit check, and employment references required About the Opportunity Our client, a leading credit union, is seeking a relationship-focused Personal Banking Officer to join their collaborative financial services team. In this permanent role, you’ll help members make confident financial decisions by understanding their goals and recommending personalized banking, credit, mortgage and investment solutions. You’ll work closely with members, branch colleagues and internal partners to grow relationships and identify new opportunities. Your Responsibilities You’ll proactively connect with members through call plans, renewal lists, referrals and sales leads to understand their financial needs. You’ll recommend banking, credit, mortgage and investment solutions while providing thoughtful financial advice. You’ll build and maintain relationships with individual members, businesses, co-operatives and not-for-profit organizations. You’ll identify high-value opportunities and connect members with internal or external partners when specialized expertise is required. You’ll contribute to sales and retention goals by uncovering longer-term financial needs and following through on opportunities. You’ll apply risk-based pricing, anti-money laundering requirements and established policies while maintaining accurate member interactions. Skills and Qualifications 3+ years of related financial institution experience, combined with post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience providing credit solutions, particularly mortgage lending is required. Proven sales experience with strong interviewing, relationship-building, negotiation and problem-solving skills. Strong working knowledge of investments, lending, mortgages and financial needs analysis. CSC or IFIC completion is an asset. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other common business applications, along with strong analytical and mathematical skills. Requirements
Requires at least three years of related financial institution experience, combined with post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must have credit solutions experience, particularly mortgage lending, and strong sales, relationship-building, financial product knowledge, analytical, and communication skills; CSC or IFIC completion is an asset.
