Our client, a highly respected General Contractor, is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a flagship project team supporting one of Canada's most significant infrastructure developments. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a $1.5B landmark project at the Chalk River Nuclear Research Facility while working within a collaborative Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) environment alongside architects, engineers, and trade partners. About the Project Large-scale project located approximately two hours from downtown Ottawa Estimated value of approximately $1.5 billion Currently entering a critical estimating phase after several years of planning and development Delivered using an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) model Complex facility combining: Advanced laboratories Office space Fuel research facilities Nuclear hot cells Approximately two years remaining on the project, with opportunities to transition onto future major projects thereafter Key Responsibilities Lead estimating activities throughout project planning and pre-construction phases Develop detailed cost estimates, budgets, and pricing strategies Collaborate closely with designers, consultants, and trade partners within an integrated project team Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to identify risks and opportunities Support value engineering initiatives and cost optimization efforts Mentor and provide leadership to estimating team members Required Qualifications 10+ years of estimating experience within industrial, institutional, heavy commercial, or large-scale construction environments Strong experience working for a General Contractor Proven involvement in major projects valued at $1B+ or projects of similar scale and complexity Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to drive results within multidisciplinary teams Advanced proficiency with Excel and industry-standard estimating software Valid driver's license and willingness to attend occasional site visits Eligible to obtain Reliability Security Clearance Recent and verifiable residency and employment history strongly preferred Note: Previous nuclear experience is not required.
