Benefits & Perks Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid vacation days and personal days Professional development programs and training opportunities Flexible work arrangements and remote work options Responsibilities Develop and expand a portfolio of broker relationships and clients Conduct comprehensive underwriting assessments for diverse commercial lines, including property, liability, and specialty areas Identify new market opportunities and create customized insurance solutions Collaborate with reinsurance partners and internal teams to optimize capacity Establish underwriting standards and contribute to product development Manage the entire process from business acquisition to policy issuance and ongoing account management Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of underwriting experience in commercial lines Experience in MGA environments is an asset Proven track record in building and transferring a book of business through broker relationships Strong technical underwriting skills with a strategic business mindset Entrepreneurial attitude with experience in business development and sales Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, small organization Excellent communication and relationship management skills Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field is preferred At Aplin — together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems — we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
