We're Hiring! The Quality Engineer is responsible for delivering all aspects of the Operations Quality Assurance function on an on-going basis in line with the Quality Management System and Quality Policy to ensure that the business products meet customer expectations. The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the Organization continues to develop and implement best practices that emphasizes defect prevention, reduction in variation waste and provide for continuous improvements. Is also responsible to ensure that quality standards are being met to minimize quality costs, maximize customer satisfaction while adhering to standard procedures and processes. This is a 12-month contract position covering a maternity leave. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES · Manage the root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions of quality issues · Monitor performance by gathering and analysing relevant data and produce statistical reports · Develop and audit in-process quality processes to measure sustainability and adjust processes as required · Measure performance and identify any areas of weakness, recommending and implementing improvements · Lead supplier development strategy, designing the metrics for the function and supplier performance · Perform supplier and co-packer validation audits, with supplier/co-packer support · Perform on-site co-packer visits for root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions of co-packer quality issues · Support new product launches to ensure Company can deliver to the required quality standards · Review documentation of quality inspection results across all areas of the business · Will balance time between current operations and advanced quality planning for new processes/equipment · Perform other duties as assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS · Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or related field · 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment · Strong knowledge of QMS, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement · Experience with APQP, data analysis, and statistical tools · Lean / Six Sigma experience is an asset · Experience with supplier quality and audits preferred · May require additional job-specific designation, certification, or license · Strong understanding of ingredient and product life cycles Apollo Health & Beauty Care Ltd. will ensure accommodations are available in consultation with candidates during all stages of the recruitment process.
