Position: Senior Analyst – Fircosoft Location: Toronto, ON (2-4 days hybrid) Contract: Long Term Job Summary We are looking for a Senior Analyst – Fircosoft / Sanctions Screening with strong experience in sanctions compliance, transaction screening, and Fircosoft platforms. The candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day screening operations, alert investigation, rule tuning, list management, system enhancements, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Support and manage Fircosoft Continuity and related sanctions screening applications. Review and investigate sanctions screening alerts generated from payments, wire transfers, trade finance, and other transactions. Perform detailed false-positive analysis, alert disposition, escalation, and investigation documentation. Support screening rule configuration, tuning, optimization, and threshold management. Manage sanctions/watch lists, internal lists, exceptions, and "good guy" / whitelist management. Analyze alert trends and identify opportunities to reduce false positives while maintaining effective sanctions controls. Participate in Fircosoft system enhancements, testing, upgrades, migrations, and implementation projects. Work closely with Compliance, AML, Operations, Technology, and business stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into system/process changes. Monitor screening processes and identify potential gaps, system issues, and data-quality concerns. Develop and maintain operational procedures, process documentation, test cases, and control documentation. Prepare daily/monthly MI, KPIs, and management reports related to screening performance. Support internal/external audits, compliance reviews, regulatory examinations, and remediation activities. Ensure screening activities comply with applicable OFAC, UN, EU, UK/HMT, and other sanctions regulations. Provide senior-level guidance and support to junior analysts and operational teams. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in AML, sanctions screening, financial crime compliance, or a related banking environment. Strong hands-on experience with Fircosoft Continuity or equivalent sanctions screening platforms. Experience with Fircosoft rule tuning, list management, exceptions, matching logic, and false-positive reduction. Strong understanding of sanctions screening and transaction screening processes. Experience reviewing payment messages such as SWIFT MT/MX, wire transfers, ACH, and trade finance transactions. Strong knowledge of sanctions regulations, particularly OFAC, UN, EU, and UK/HMT. Experience with system testing, UAT, production support, enhancements, or migration projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent documentation and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with Compliance, Technology, Operations, and business stakeholders.
