12 month hybrid contract (3 days working in Toronto office) Job Description Senior Salesforce Enterprise Architect Position Summary The Senior Salesforce Architect is responsible for defining, governing, and driving enterprise Salesforce architecture strategy across multiple business and technology initiatives. This role provides hands-on technical leadership for complex Salesforce solutions, ensuring scalability, security, integration, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards. The architect serves as a trusted advisor to delivery teams, solution architects, product owners, and business stakeholders, providing guidance on platform capabilities, design decisions, implementation approaches, and long-term technology roadmaps. Key Responsibilities Architecture Leadership Lead architecture and solution design activities for enterprise-scale Salesforce programs. Define architecture, integration patterns, and platform strategies. Establish architecture principles, standards, and governance processes. Conduct architecture reviews and provide recommendations to ensure alignment with enterprise objectives. Salesforce Platform Expertise Design and govern solutions across the Salesforce ecosystem, including: Sales Cloud Service Cloud Experience Cloud Marketing Cloud Data Cloud Salesforce Platform Advise on platform capabilities, limitations, and best practices. Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Salesforce reference architectures. Integration & Enterprise Systems Design integration architectures connecting Salesforce with enterprise applications and data platforms. Define API, event-driven, and middleware integration patterns. Collaborate with enterprise/solution/system architects, security teams, and technology stakeholders on cross-platform solutions. Delivery & Technical Guidance Provide hands-on support during architecture workshops, design sessions, and implementation planning. Mentor solution architects, developers, and delivery teams. Review technical designs, implementation approaches, and code-level patterns where required. Identify risks, dependencies, and technical debt, and develop mitigation strategies. Governance & Strategic Planning Develop technology roadmaps supporting business and digital transformation objectives. Participate in vendor evaluations and solution assessments. Support investment planning, estimates, and business case development as required. Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and enterprise technology standards. Required Qualifications 10+ years of enterprise architecture or solution architecture experience. 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce architecture experience. Deep expertise in Salesforce platform architecture and design. Experience leading architecture for large-scale Salesforce transformation initiatives. Strong understanding of: Enterprise Integration Patterns REST/SOAP APIs Event-driven architectures Cloud-native architecture Identity and access management Security and compliance frameworks Preferred Certifications Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) preferred. Salesforce Application Architect. Salesforce System Architect. TOGAF certification or equivalent enterprise architecture framework experience. AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certifications considered an asset. Desired Skills & Experience Proven ability to challenge and improve solution designs through practical architecture leadership. Experience facilitating architecture workshops with senior business and technology stakeholders. Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities. Experience working in complex enterprise environments with multiple concurrent programs. Ability to bridge strategic architecture planning with hands-on implementation guidance. Technical standards and reference architectures. Risk assessments and mitigation plans. Architecture decision records and design recommendations. What you’ll do

Requirements

Requires 10+ years of enterprise or solution architecture experience and 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce architecture experience, including leadership of large-scale Salesforce transformations. Deep Salesforce platform expertise and knowledge of integration patterns, APIs, event-driven and cloud-native architectures, identity and access management, and security are required; Salesforce architecture certifications and TOGAF are preferred.
