Do you enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather? Are you motivated, hardworking and looking for your new opportunity? If so, consider joining ATS Traffic's On-Street Services department as an LCT, also known as a Traffic Technician! These positions will operate within the Municipalities in support of on-going projects. Please ensure to complete the below questionnaire to let us know your availability! Conducting traffic control around cities, construction sites and major events such as music festivals or sporting events. Traffic Technicians design safe lane closures and traffic detours with physical setup and removal of devices such as barricades, pylons, signage and digital messaging boards. QUALIFICATIONS * A valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean 3-year Regular Driver Record from ICBC or equivalent is required * A valid BC Traffic Control Person (TCP) ticket from the BCCSA is required. * Own method of transportation to get to and from work is preferred. * As this is a safety-sensitive position, all employees must undergo and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. This includes use of medical or recreational marijuana. ATS Traffic has a zero tolerance policy in place for safety-sensitive positions. * Ability to successfully pass a Fit Test including lifting between 50 and 75 pounds. * Previous experience as an Lane Closure Technician required; 6 months or more. Requirements
Candidates must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and a BC Traffic Control Person (TCP) ticket. Applicants are required to have at least 6 months of previous experience and must be able to pass a physical fit test and drug screening.
