Company Description Back in Balance Wellness Center is a community-focused chiropractic and wellness clinic serving clients from Castlegar and the surrounding areas. Back in Balance Wellness Center emphasizes client education and collaborative treatment plans to support long-term well-being. Role Description The Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) is a full-time, on-site role based in Castlegar, BC. In this position, the RMT will conduct client assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic massage services to address pain, tension, and stress-related concerns. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering a variety of massage techniques, documenting treatments accurately, and collaborating with other wellness practitioners to ensure integrated care. The RMT will also maintain a clean, safe treatment environment, educate clients on self-care strategies, and foster strong client relationships through professional, responsive communication. Participation in clinic initiatives, such as appointment scheduling support and promoting wellness programs, is expected. Qualifications Strong client-facing abilities, including Customer Service skills and the ability to build respectful, trusting relationships. Proficiency in Therapeutic Massage techniques, including assessment, treatment planning, and hands-on care. Experience to meet diverse client needs. Skills in Stress Management, with the ability to help clients reduce tension and support overall wellness. Valid registration and good standing with the appropriate Massage Therapy regulatory body in BC. Relevant diploma or degree in Massage Therapy from an accredited institution. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications to massage, with adherence to professional and ethical standards. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary wellness team and manage a consistent full-time client schedule.

Requirements

Applicants need valid registration in good standing with the appropriate massage therapy regulatory body in British Columbia and a relevant diploma or degree from an accredited institution. They should have therapeutic massage experience, knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications, strong client service and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with a wellness team and manage a full-time client schedule.
