Assistant General Manager The Assistant General Manager contributes to the success of Banff Hospitality Collective by participating in the management of the daily operations of the restaurant, including the management of all employees in conjunction with the General Manager. In addition, they assist with inventory and ordering of liquor and supplies, optimize profits, and ensure that guests have had an experience that lives up to the company values. They work closely with the culinary team and participate in decisions with the BHC executive team. We Love Perks! This Position Includes: Competitive salary, achievable bonus programs + tips $200 Welcome Gift Card to use at any BHC Venue 50% off food, bottles of wine & sake for yourself + a guest at all BHC venues Learning & Development allowance Cell phone allowance Extended health benefits with premiums completely paid for by BHC after 3 months RRSP/FHSA matching program after 3 months Short Term & Long Term Disability coverage after 3 months 3 weeks paid vacation + statutory holidays Paid community volunteer time Subsidized manager accommodation may be available What You’ll Do: Oversee and manage all areas of the venue, using your discretion to make decisions quickly Lead by example, maintaining a floor presence for the duration of your shift Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs Ensure financial and payroll administration, including invoicing and reporting, is accurate, timely, and compliant with company policy Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, and federal, provincial, and municipal laws Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards Deeply understand and champion the venue's brand, delivering on its promise and inspiring your team to do the same Focus on outstanding guest service, responding to complaints, taking appropriate action, and generating return guests Recognize the importance of employee experience and build a strong team culture Prepare for and attend weekly, monthly, quarterly, and six month planning meetings What You Have: Experience in the food and beverage industry is required Supervisory or management experience is a strong asset ProServe certification required Availability to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays required Adaptable with technology and systems, from day to day use to troubleshooting and training others An amazing team player with a knack for bringing others together to work towards a common goal Connecting with people and building trusting relationships comes easy to you Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team focused working style You know when to step back, welcome other perspectives, and try new approaches Ability to work with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times Banff Hospitality Collective is: https://www.banffcollective.com/banff-restaurants BHC is an equal opportunity employer.
