Position: Security Officer Facility: BayCare ED (South Tampa) The Security Officer performs general safety & security duties including: Patrol and detection services Assisting customers Response and intervention responsibilities Provide monitoring services to assure team member, patient and visitor safety Completes communication and documentation tools Conducts weapons screening in appropriate manner Completes other duties as assigned Required specific skills also includes life safety and weapons screening techniques. Minimum Qualifications Certifications and Licensures Driver's License (State of Florida) IAHSS (Security) - Within 1 year Security D - Within 90 days Preferred : FDLE (Law Enforcement) Education High School or Equivalent Preferred : Associate's in Related Field Experience 1 year Customer Service Preferred : 2 years Security Location: Tampa, FL Status: Full Time Shift Hours: 1st, 2nd or 3rd Weekend Work: Every Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled

What you’ll do

Requirements

A Florida driver's license is required, along with Security D certification within 90 days and IAHSS Security certification within one year. A high school diploma or equivalent and one year of customer service experience are listed, while an associate degree in a related field, FDLE law enforcement credentials, and two years of security experience are preferred.
