We are looking for someone that is outgoing and detail oriented with a strong understanding and accuracy of law firm bookkeeping and law society trust accounting requirements. Key Responsibilities are but not limited to: Answering and forwarding incoming calls, greeting clients and obtaining identification, scheduling appointments Opening files Maintaining and ordering office supplies Maintain financial records for general and trust accounts including posting receipts, credit card receipts and cheques Accounts payable and accounts receivable Prepare bank reconciliations for general and multiple trust accounts Prepare monthly and quarterly PST, GST, TAF, Process Semi-Monthly Payroll, Payroll Reports and Remittances Prepare trust cheques for the conveyancing department including At Source payouts Monitor Online bank accounts Daily bank runs as needed Ensure accuracy and compliance with Law Society trust accounting rules Additional administrative duties as required What We Are Looking For Previous law firm experience would be an asset 2 years experience in a bookkeeping role preferably using Esilaw accounting software but not required Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe etc.) Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) Excellent professional and friendly telephone manner and customer service Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision with excellent attention to detail, well organized Class 5 Drivers License is necessary for day to day bank runs Regular office hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Fridays 9:00 am to 2:00 pm Salary range $45,000 to $65,000 depending on qualifications and experience, while we do not offer standard benefits for this role, we offer a highly competitive hourly wage Please submit resumes via email to [email protected] We thank all candidates for their interest in this position however, only those shortlisted will be contacted.
