This position reports to the Teacher/Kitchen Supervisor and performs duties related to preparation, serving food and cleanup of facilities and equipment. POSTING DETAILSPosition – CASUAL Cafeteria AssistantStart Date - ASAPSchedule - Casual / On Call (hours vary)Locations - Secondary SchoolsSummary: Reports to the teacher/Kitchen Supervisor and performs duties related to the preparation, serving of food and clean-up of facilities and equipment. Required Qualifications:Grade 12 graduation plus completion of a Food Safe Certificate (Level 1).Ability to clean and operate commercial kitchen equipment such as industrial dishwasher, mixer, meat slicer, etc.Ability to use judgement in applying clearly established procedures.Ability to use courtesy and tact in the routine exchange or provision of information in contacts with public, staff and students.Physical ability to perform the required duties.Ability to work with constant interruptions and to meet deadlines.
