POSITION OVERVIEW We are looking for an Account Manager who will leverage their interpersonal skills and network to generate new business opportunities while managing a portfolio of existing clients. Your main objective: to contribute to the success of entrepreneurs—whose revenue ranges from startup level to $3 million—through our financing solutions and advisory services tailored to their needs. CHALLENGES TO BE MET Here’s what a typical week looks like: You’ll meet with entrepreneurs—both clients and prospects—to discuss the specifics of their businesses, identify challenges, provide advice, and, where appropriate, recommend a BDC service offering that meets their business needs; You’ll implement your action plan in line with the Business Centre’s objectives. This will enable you to ensure the growth and retention of current clients in your portfolio while acquiring new clients and building a pipeline of business opportunities; You’ll analyze, negotiate, and present financing proposals while exercising sound credit judgment; You are active in the local business community, networking within various associations and chambers of commerce to develop business relationships and solicit referrals that will facilitate the acquisition of new clients. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR If you can answer YES to the following questions, you might be the person we’re looking for: Do you hold a bachelor’s degree? Are you passionate about entrepreneurship, with more than 3 years of relevant experience in commercial credit or analysis, business development, or entrepreneurship, as well as a solid understanding of the business world? Do you have a proven aptitude for business development—whether virtually or in person—and a track record of achieving concrete goals? Do your clients and business contacts remember you for the soundness of your advice and your outstanding customer service? Do you demonstrate a team spirit and build lasting, trusting relationships with both your peers and business contacts and external partners? Do you have excellent negotiation skills and are you results-oriented? A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.
