Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Technical Lead – Databricks, Data Engineering & Data Modeling. The position is focused on spearheading data engineering initiatives within a global asset management technology team. The role involves a mix of technical leadership, hands-on development, and strategic design to support ongoing Unity Catalog development, data modeling, and orchestration efforts. Pay rate range (CAD): $75.00/hr – $80.00/hr Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and implementation of data solutions using Databricks and Unity Catalog Enforce coding standards and conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables Provide technical guidance and leadership to a team of data developers and engineers Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions and data models Support the development and modernization of Unity Catalog and related data frameworks Drive the design of gold tables and ensure data structures align with business needs Collaborate with cross-functional teams on CI/CD pipeline development, orchestration, and automation Participate actively in technical discussions, solution design, and architecture reviews Balance hands-on development with strategic leadership to ensure project success Desired Skill-Set Extensive experience with Databricks and Unity Catalog Strong expertise in data engineering and data modeling Proficiency in Python and data orchestration with ADF Experience with CI/CD pipelines and coding standards Proven track record in technical leadership and solution design Ability to translate business needs into effective data solutions Knowledge of software development frameworks and best practices in data environments Nice to Have Experience with dependency frameworks and alerting systems Familiarity with advanced data monitoring and automation tools BeachHead is an equal opportunity agency and employer.
