We are looking for a Senior Specialist Broking and Placement to join our Realty team in our Toronto office! As a Senior Specialist, Broking & Placement in our Real Estate division, you will be responsible for providing exemplary service to the Production Team by building and fostering strong relationships with Insurers, and other industry service providers, to deliver competitive terms with regards to the BFL National Residential Program. Your day as a Senior Specialist Broking and Placement * Markets business (Strata’s/Condos) by developing and fostering excellent relationships with Insurers to ensure negotiation of best competitive terms to clients. (Includes ongoing endorsement requests and mid-term marketing when necessary). * Work with new and existing insurers to negotiate the rates and deductibles. * Strong Underwriting Ability using in-house contracts for the Strata/Condo Program. * Liaises with Client Executives to discuss clients’ needs and make recommendations regarding terms and conditions obtained. * Assist with developing innovative marketing process for large portfolio renewals * Keep current on new products, coverage and market trends by attending seminars and reading relevant written material * Attend Insurer and Industry functions as required * Follow BFL policies and procedures, including security and quality procedures, as set out currently and as amended from time to time * Other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required Our ideal candidate * Minimum 5-7 years related industry experience in the insurance brokerage field * University degree or Professional insurance designation (CIP,CAIB,CRM) * RIBO licensed * Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Team Player with excellent negotiation and organizational skills * Detail oriented and demonstrated excellence in time management * Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team and with others throughout the organization. This posting is for a newly created position. The expected salary for this role ranges from 75,000$ to 95,000$. What you’ll do

Requirements

Candidates must have 5-7 years of experience in the insurance brokerage field and hold a RIBO license. A university degree or professional insurance designation such as CIP, CAIB, or CRM is also required.
