Bingemans is in the business of providing Grand Experiences! We are currently hiring a Chef de Partie! What will you be doing? As a part of the culinary team, you are responsible for creating great food and customer experiences in a wide variety of styles of service. You possess great attention to detail, and amazing food is your passion. You are comfortable multitasking; problem solving and always maintain high standards. You will lead by example and support development of your team members. Essential job functions will include: * The preparation, production, and transportation of food items for service * Plans effectively for varying levels of business * Demonstrate proficiency in all areas of the kitchen * Ability to multitask in a variety of roles within the kitchen while working independently * Positive influence with all members of the culinary team * The organization of food items and mise en place. * Inventory management; receiving and proper storage of food deliveries. * Maintaining food standards through use of standardized food recipes and safe food handling practices * Maintains food cost through the minimization of food waste * Identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings to the kitchen managers What We're Looking For? * Certificate or diploma from a reputable, post-secondary culinary training school is required * Must possess excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills * Journeyman’s papers or Red Seal required, industry experienced considered. * A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar environment is an asset * Must have good time management skills, able to work in a consistently fast-paced environment and demonstrate work flexibility. * Must be a positive, driven leader with an emphasis on development of employees to achieve desired results. * Must have a passion for excellent food and creativity to develop custom menu options with ease * Required to work to the business needs, days, evenings, weekends, holidays. This will at times require long hours especially during peak times Physical requirements: * Must be able to lift and transport up to 50 pounds * Must be able to stand for long periods of time (for up to and more than 8 hours) * Must be able to work in both, hot and cold (fridge/freezer) environments This position is for an open vacancy currently available within our organization.
