BURNCO is currently hiring Mixer Drivers for our Central Alberta Ready Mix operation in Red Deer, Alberta. Location: 4305 – 77 St Red Deer, AB T4P 2J1 What You Will Be Doing * Learn our company safety protocol in order to execute work safely. * Operate a Ready-Mix Truck in urban areas and tight construction sites. * Routine equipment maintenance. * Contribute to keeping locations in and around the plant clean and hazardous free. * Other duties as assigned. Reality of the Job * You might work long hours some days depending on the customer's project requirements. * You will be expected to work Saturdays during peak season, if required. * You will be maneuvering the trucks in sometimes very tight construction areas. * Option of Joining General Teamsters Union Local 362. What We Need from You * Safe Driver Record. * Class 1 or 3 CDL (with air brake endorsement). * Concrete Mixer Truck driving experience an asset. * An understanding of concrete products an asset. * City driving experience. * The ability to drive manual transmission is an asset. * Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and be available on short notice. * Ability to successfully pass our pre-employment testing. IMPORTANT: As a safety sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that selected candidate successfully pass comprehensive pre-employment testing that includes a Drug and Alcohol screen and Fitness to Work testing. Please note that we have a zero-tolerance policy for any Cannabis derived products regardless of use frequency or purpose.

Requirements
Applicants need a safe driving record and a Class 1 or Class 3 commercial driver's license with an air brake endorsement. Concrete mixer truck experience, knowledge of concrete products, city driving experience, and manual transmission ability are assets; candidates must also be flexible with hours and pass pre-employment drug, alcohol, and fitness testing.
