We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Coordinator, Health & Safety, to play a vital support role in assisting the Health and Safety team to achieve Caivan’s safety objectives. This position ensures the accurate management of safety documentation, WSIB claims, and compliance reporting across all operational areas. This role is integral in maintaining a safe work environment by supporting the delivery of safety programs, coordinating return-to-work processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with HR and operations to support continuous improvement in workplace safety standards. Industry Leading Wages Annual Paid Operations Shutdown (in addition to Paid Vacation Days) Complimentary Daily Lunch Program Company-Paid Health & Dental Coverage Coordinating Benefits Life Insurance where applicable Group Benefits & Perks (including Goodlife & Bell Mobile) Use of ADP (HR Portal) – easily access your employee information, paystubs & schedule time off Bi-Weekly Payments directly to your bank account You will Bring * Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or related field * 3–5 years of experience in health and safety administration, WSIB claims, or construction safety coordination * Strong knowledge of WSIB requirements, injury management processes, and health & safety legislation * Advanced proficiency with SiteDocs, SiteDocs Analytics, and Microsoft Office Suite * Experience supporting safety audits, inspections, and JHSC activities * CPR/First Aid and WHMIS certification * Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle * Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills Key Responsibilities WSIB & Injury Management * Manage WSIB claims and injury reports from intake to closure, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance * Maintain confidential injury and incident records in SiteDocs and internal reporting systems * Collaborate with HR and site management on return-to-work programs and employee communications * Track trends in claims and incidents to recommend proactive safety initiatives * Support audits, internal reviews, and reporting related to WSIB claims and injury management Safety Documentation & SiteDocs Management * Maintain and update safety documentation, forms, inspections, and training records in SiteDocs * Ensure all documents are current, version-controlled, and audit-ready in compliance with COR and regulatory standards * Archive outdated records while keeping historical data accessible * Provide guidance and training to staff and site personnel on proper use of SiteDocs and compliance procedures Compliance & Reporting * Generate reports for management on inspections, incidents, near-misses, training compliance, and JHSC activities * Support JHSC meetings by preparing minutes and tracking corrective actions * Monitor certification expirations and schedule re-training as required Safety Program Implementation & Training Support * Assist in the execution of company safety programs and mandatory training initiatives * Support onboarding of new hires with safety orientations and WSIB procedures * Coordinate and assist with WHMIS, Fall Protection, CPR/First Aid, and other required training sessions Cross-Functional Collaboration (Internal Focus) * Work closely with HR, operations, and site teams to integrate WSIB and safety initiatives into day-to-day activities * Act as a point of contact and subject-matter expert regarding WSIB, injury management, and compliance documentation * Support the Team Lead and Director with policy reviews and updates to ensure alignment with regulatory changes and organizational safety objectives Working Conditions * Full time, in-person role within a collaborative Team environment * The job description implies the performance of repetitive tasks * Extended periods at a computer may be required * Competing demands may create stress * Site & Factory visits, as required PPE is required at all times in field settings (steel toes, hard hat, Hi-Vis) * Hold a valid G license with access to a reliable vehicle We carefully review all applications and will contact candidates whose skills, experience, and qualifications most closely align with the requirements of the position.
