THE POSITION As an Event Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will be a key part of the event-day leadership team at the Saddledome and McMahon Stadium. You will help set the tone for service by leading concession and bar teams, supporting smooth operations, and creating a positive environment for both guests and employees. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor, solving problems in real time, and helping teams deliver great experiences when the building is at its busiest. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * Lead pre-event setup and stand readiness, including product, equipment, signage, staffing, and service areas. * Coordinate end-of-event closing procedures, ensuring service areas are cleaned, secured, and ready for the next event. * Assign duties, monitor service flow, and adjust staffing to keep operations moving efficiently. * Coach team members on service expectations, food safety practices, role procedures, and event-day standards. * Step in where needed to support service, resolve issues, and maintain guest satisfaction. * Maintain safe, clean, and respectful work areas by reinforcing standards and addressing concerns promptly. * Support responsible alcohol service through ID checks, guest monitoring, and timely escalation when required. * Assist with POS transactions, order processing, and guest interactions during peak service periods. * Monitor equipment, sanitation, food production, product quality, and inventory throughout the event. * Model professional conduct and reinforce company policies, procedures, and presentation standards. * Participate in pre-event stand-up meetings and communicate expectations clearly to the team. * Keep managers informed by sharing timely updates, identifying challenges, and supporting real-time solutions. * Support inventory, training, and other operational projects as * Participate in safety programs and follow all applicable policies. * Other duties as required. THE INDIVIDUAL We are looking for a dependable, people-focused leader who brings energy, sound judgment, and a service-first mindset to every shift. The successful candidate will be comfortable leading in a busy event environment, supporting team members, and making decisions that help create a great experience for guests. * 1–2 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage or a similar service environment. * Comfort working on your feet and staying engaged for extended periods. * A passion for guest service, teamwork, and creating memorable event experiences. * ProServe certification. * Valid Alberta Basic Food Safety Certification. * Effective communication, organization, problem-solving, and time management * A leadership style that motivates others, builds trust, and supports a positive team culture. * A strong sense of accountability with the ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through. * An initiative-taking approach to innovation, improvement, and creative problem- * The ability to take direction, work independently, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to be part of Calgary’s most exciting sporting and entertainment events in a dynamic, event-based environment. Schedules are built around the event calendar and include evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays, with varied shift lengths that provide flexibility and the chance to contribute to memorable guest experiences throughout the season.
