You will conduct and lead complex economic analyses, research, and evaluations to support strategic policy development, health system planning, and initiatives addressing key health challenges facing Ontarians. The Economic Analysis and Evaluation Unit supports both the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Long-Term Care to achieve the government’s goal of evidence-based decision making. The Senior Health Economist will be responsible for supporting requests for health economic advice and analysis, and will work in partnership with ministry program areas, Ontario Health, and external research partners. In this role, the Senior Health Economist will also support evidence-based health system improvements and the adoption of cost-effective health innovation, including supporting the application of evidence within Health Innovation Pathway.
