Maintenance Electrician Location: Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge, ON Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Shift: Straight Midnight Shift – 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM Pay: $42.00–$45.00/hour + shift premium Overtime: Available as required We are currently hiring a Maintenance Electrician for a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment in Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge. Key Responsibilities Repair, troubleshoot, install, maintain, dismantle, calibrate, and overhaul industrial machinery and equipment. Perform electrical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. Read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints, and equipment drawings. Use hand and power tools to complete installations, repairs, and equipment improvements. Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot equipment failures. Support equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives. Complete preventative maintenance inspections to maintain machine performance. Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Requirements Valid 442A or 309 Electrician Certificate of Qualification. Completed apprenticeship in Canada — no test challengers. Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of blueprint reading. Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbal and written. Must own a complete set of tools/toolbox. Ability and willingness to work a straight midnight shift and approximately one weekend every five weeks. Assets: Experience with overhead cranes, tow motors, aerial lifts, and industrial measuring equipment.
