Volunteer to Represent CMHA YRSS at Newmarket Bingo & Gaming! Are you interested in giving back, connecting with others, and supporting mental health in your community? CMHA York Region & South Simcoe invites staff and clients to volunteer as representatives at Bingo World and Gaming Newmarket! Why Volunteer? Volunteering with us is a meaningful way to support local mental health programs, engage with the community, and help raise vital funds for services that make a difference in people’s lives. Volunteer Assignment Details * Schedule: Mondays from 4-6pm beginning on September 21st, 2026, recurring every 6 weeks Please note: You do not need to volunteer every six weeks! You can sign up for as few or as many shifts as you like. * Location: Bingo World and Gaming Newmarket, 1230 Kerrisdale Blvd What You’ll Do * Welcome guests and thank them for supporting CMHA YRSS * Assist patrons with questions about bingo games, electronic gaming, and centre promotions * Identify and flag winning cards for staff verification * Help keep the gaming area clean and organized * Share information about how charitable gaming supports local mental health programs * Support centre staff with promotional activities and responsible gaming initiatives Requirements * Complete a 30-minute online training and a 1-hour in-person orientation at the gaming centre before your first shift * Completion of general orientation and on-the-job training * Follow all Charitable Gaming Centre guidelines and CMHA YRSS policies * Be professional, courteous, and attentive throughout your shift * Submit volunteer hours as accrued * Adhere to CMHA’s written volunteer policies and procedures Benefits of Volunteering * Directly support fundraising for essential mental health programs in our region * Build connections in your community and help raise awareness about CMHA YRSS services * Gain valuable experience and contribute to a cause you care about Your involvement helps strengthen our programs and our commitment to the communities we serve.
