You will have the exciting opportunity to be part of an active engineering and geology team responsible for the planning, execution and optimization of operations related to well abandonment activities. Join a company culture that fosters a fun-working environment, encourages working together, and doing it right! * Job location: Calgary, AB – Head Office * Work schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours per day (Monday – Friday) * Term length: 8 months * Term starts: January 2027 * Safety sensitive position: Yes Key Accountabilities: * Support an operational team through geological log and data analysis, geological interpretation, and well data analysis for optimization of projects, well records reviews, lookback reviews and ongoing operations and engineering support * Acquire hands-on experience with several widely used industry software programs including WellView, Accumap and Tableau * Gain exposure to all aspects of well operations including drilling, completions, well servicing and well abandonment What You Bring to The Role: * Currently enrolled in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of a geological degree program. * Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license or equivalent out of province license * Motivated, collaborative, organized, and able to manage competing priorities What We Offer: * Competitive salary * Paid time off during Christmas week and summer Fridays in July and August * Students may be eligible for relocation assistance pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Student Relocation Policy (Students will be responsible for finding their own accommodations during the work term) * Multiple volunteer opportunities within the community * Opportunities to partake in initiatives such as the Intern Social Committee Check out our COMPENSATION & BENEFITS [https://www.cnrl.com/content/uploads/2024/03/Compensation-and-Benefits-Student.pdf] overview to learn more about what we have to offer!
