This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact, develop broad exposure across payroll and HR functions, and contribute to an exceptional employee experience within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. * Job location: Calgary, Alberta * Work schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts (Monday to Friday) * Safety sensitive position: No * Application deadline: October 18, 2026 Key Accountabilities: * Administer accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for a diverse workforce of salaried and hourly employees, ensuring a seamless employee experience * Calculate, validate, and process all aspects of employee compensation, including salaries, wages, overtime, benefits, deductions, and statutory withholdings * Support year-end payroll activities, audits, and reconciliations to ensure compliance, data integrity, and successful reporting outcomes * Ensure adherence to federal and provincial payroll legislation, tax regulations, and internal controls while maintaining comprehensive payroll records and documentation * Serve as a trusted payroll advisor by resolving employee inquiries, liaising with government agencies, and supporting internal and external audit requirements * Identify opportunities to enhance payroll processes, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen the accuracy and integrity of payroll service delivery What you Bring to the Role: * Minimum 3 years of payroll experience supported by a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience * Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation required; Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) designation completed or in progress is considered a strong asset * Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, employment standards, taxation, and regulatory compliance requirements * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze, reconcile, and validate large volumes of payroll data * Demonstrated ability to investigate complex payroll issues, exercise sound judgment, and deliver accurate solutions while managing competing priorities and deadlines * Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud and payroll administration involving stock-based compensation programs is considered an asset What We Offer: * Competitive salary, stock options, company matched stock savings plan, annual bonuses * May be eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Relocation Policy * 100% Employer paid extended Health, Dental and Vision Benefits * Health & Wellness Spending Account * Multiple volunteer opportunities within the community * Employee & Family Assistance Program * Access to online learning platforms for continuous learning and development * Paid vacation and time off during Christmas week and summer Fridays Check out our COMPENSATION & BENEFITS [https://www.cnrl.com/content/uploads/2024/03/Compensation-and-Benefits-Experienced.pdf] to learn more about what we have to offer!
