Job summary
Co-develop culturally grounded health indicators with Tajikeimik teams, Mi’kmaw communities, and partners to support health planning, policy, programs, and health transformation. Lead rigorous, collaborative analysis and interpretation of complex population health data, including data enabled by the Mi’kmaq Client Linkage Registry, and produce transparent, actionable reporting.
Job details
Description Tajikeimik is seeking a Senior Epidemiologist who will work alongside Tajikeimik teams, Mi’kmaw communities, and partners, to co-develop meaningful, culturally grounded health indicators that will help inform health planning, policy and programs, and progress toward health transformation. The Senior Epidemiologist will bring advanced expertise in epidemiology, surveillance, and population health analysis to turn complex data—including insights enabled by the Mi’kmaq Client Linkage Registry—into clear, actionable evidence. Guided by an Etuaptmumk (Two-Eyed Seeing) approach, you will bridge epidemiological methods and Mi’kmaw knowledge systems, and lead collaborative analysis, interpretation, and transparent reporting that is both technically rigorous and culturally informed. For an epidemiologist motivated by partnership, innovation, and meaningful impact, this is an opportunity to help redefine what population health measurement can look like when it is grounded in community priorities and Mi’kmaq ways of knowing. We are open to exploring flexible work arrangements, such as secondments, job sharing and other innovative approaches.
