Job Description St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Secondary is a Catholic high school serving Grades 8–12 in North Vancouver, with an enrollment of approximately 615 students. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counsellor to join our staff to cover a maternity leave from October 2026 to October 2027. The successful candidate will provide personal, academic, and career counselling services to students in a supportive, Christ-centred environment, collaborating with staff and parents to promote student well-being and success. Duties & Responsibilities Provide individual and small-group counselling to support students' mental health, personal development, and well-being. Offer academic advising and assist students with course selection, post-secondary planning, and career exploration. Collaborate with teachers, administration, and parents to support student learning and growth. Provide crisis intervention and referrals to outside agencies when appropriate. Contribute to the development of a positive, caring, and faith-based school climate. Qualifications & Requirements Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Educational Counselling, or related field. Registration or eligibility for registration with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) or BC School Counsellors’ Association preferred. Experience working with adolescents in a school setting is an asset. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to Catholic education and support of the mission and values of CISVA. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team supporting the holistic development of students. Requirements
