DESCRIPTION CIMCO is seeking experienced Pipefitters (Journeypersons) for its Installation Department in Quebec City. Responsibilities include assembly, pre-weld preparation (SMAW, TIG), blueprint reading, and quality control inspections. Candidates must be comfortable working in a unionized environment as part of a team. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Use and maintain specialized tools and equipment. * Assemble components in preparation for welding. * Read and interpret project drawings and blueprints. * Perform SMAW, TIG, and other welding tack procedures for piping assembly. * Detect and correct defects in piping systems. * Conduct inspections, pressure testing, and system cleaning prior to commissioning. * Follow company safety and quality standards and procedures. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS * Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS/DEP) in Plumbing and Heating (Program 5333). * Valid ASP Construction card (General Health and Safety on Construction Sites course). * Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, manuals, and quality control procedures. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and at all levels of the organization, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are essential. * Self-motivated and capable of independently requesting materials from a supervisor. * Strong problem-solving, decision-making, planning, and organizational skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. * Ability to work in a unionized environment.
