About the Role We are seeking a detail oriented and analytical Tax Analyst / Senior Tax Analyst to support the company’s Canadian and U.S. tax function across corporate income tax, indirect tax, audits, tax technology, and special projects. This individual will work closely with Accounting, Legal, Procurement, and external tax advisors to help ensure compliance, manage tax related matters, and support strategic tax initiatives. The successful candidate will bring strong technical and problem solving skills, a collaborative approach, and a desire to drive process improvements while gaining exposure to a broad range of tax issues within a growing and dynamic organization. The Company follows a hybrid work model, with employees in the office from Tuesday through Thursday. Location: Oakville, ON or Houston, TX. Key Responsibilities Coordinate responses to Canadian and U.S. tax authorities relating to income tax and indirect tax audits, notices, assessments, and information requests. Support Canadian and U.S. corporate income tax compliance, including coordinating information required for U.S. federal and state tax filings. Assist with special tax projects, including corporate reorganizations, voluntary disclosures, historical tax matters, and other tax planning initiatives. Assist with Canadian indirect tax and U.S. sales and use tax matters, including audits, registrations, exemption certificates, and analysis of transaction-level information. Assist with Canadian and U.S. tax instalment payments, tax invoices, and other tax administration activities. Coordinate with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders to gather information and resolve tax-related matters. Respond to ad-hoc tax inquiries from Accounting, Legal, Procurement, tax equity investors, joint venture partners, and other stakeholders. Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls, documentation, and the use of tax technology. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. CPA designation or progress toward a CPA designation is preferred. Relevant corporate tax, public accounting, or finance experience. Experience with Canadian and/or U.S. corporate income tax, indirect tax, or sales and use tax is an asset. Experience with OneSource or similar tax technology is an asset. Strong Excel, analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with internal teams and external advisors. This is a new vacancy.
