Deer Creek Golf Club is Hiring! Banquet Captain As a Banquet Captain at Deer Creek, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of events and maintaining the high standards of service our venue is known for. The Banquet Captain is responsible for coordinating with various teams, and staff to deliver exceptional service to our clients and their guests. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the execution of events, including weddings, cooperate meetings, and social gatherings. Collaborate with event planners, clients, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of events. Supervise and train banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff. Motivate and inspire the team to deliver excellent customer service. Customer Service Interact with clients and guests to ensure their needs are met and expectations exceeded. Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally. Provide a welcoming and attentive atmosphere throughout the events. Conduct pre-event inspections to ensure all details are in place. Monitor service quality and address any deviations from standards. Communication Maintain effective communication with kitchen staff, serving staff, and other relevant departments. Communicate with event planners and clients to confirm details and make any necessary adjustments. Remain in constant communication with management and security as needed. Adherence To Policies And Procedures Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as venue policies and procedures. Uphold Deer Creek’s standards for professionalism and service excellence. Qualifications Proven experience in banquet or event coordination, with a focus on leadership roles. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong communication skills & computer skills (word, excel, and POS) SMART SERVE CERTIFIED Food Handler’s Certification CPR Certified Must be able to bend, climb stairs and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds. Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures Ability to remain calm and focus on high pressure situations. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays required. Education And Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in hospitality is a plus. Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
