Grocery Clerk (Delivery Driver)

Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Grocery Clerk to join our Grocery team on a full-time basis at our location in Elk Point, AB. Reporting to the Grocery Manager. What you’ll do: * Engage with customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences. * Safely operate the company delivery vehicle for deliveries and pickups. * Complete proper vehicle inspections and all required delivery paperwork. * Load, unload and secure merchandise. * Ensure department standards are met with inventory, ordering, stocking and displaying merchandise. * Operate the Point-of-Sale system to process transactions, perform popcorn-making duties and retrieve carts. * Follow opening and closing procedures. * Follow safety procedures at all times. * Resolve customer issues and answer questions. * Work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. * Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative’s vision, mission, values and focus on safety. * Perform other duties as assigned to support team operations and customer service initiatives. Who you are: * You must be at least 18 years of age. * You have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and can provide a satisfactory 5-year standard driver’s abstract. * You can successfully complete a required pre-employment substance test. * You are able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs. Loads exceeding 50 lbs will be managed with lifting equipment or assistance in accordance with safety guidelines. * You are able to stand and move throughout your shift, including walking, bending, and reaching wile staying active with tasks such as assisting customers, unloading freight and stocking shelves. * You are action oriented, customer focused and work well with other Team Members. * You are honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do. * You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver meaningful solutions, valuing diverse perspectives to meet shared objectives.
