The Night Auditor is the senior position during the overnight shift and performs as the Duty Manager. The role will contribute to the overall success of the hotel by anticipating guest needs and providing friendly, efficient, and superior customer service during all guest interactions. The position is responsible for maintaining a positive work environment at the hotel while maintaining high internal & external guest service standards as well as the completion of the Night Audit. Responsibilities: Maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments Registers arriving guests and assigns rooms Presents statements of charges to departing guests and receive payment Compiles and checks daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers using computerized systems Daily accounting data entry and reconciliation Runs all Night Audit reports and reports any discrepancies to Front Office Manager, General Manager and Accounting office Posts any late charges not posted on previous shift Completes Food & Beverage Audit, keys in journal entries Completes credit card and city ledger sequence Coordinates and completes back-up Runs night audit sequence Delivers audit materials to Accounting Office Completes daily sales & labour report Completes gratuities porterage distribution report on a daily basis Completes daily room pick up & forecast reports Other duties as required Skills/Knowledge/Experience: Completion of Secondary School Degree/Diploma in Hospitality preferred or Hospitality industry courses in Hotel Management Minimum 3 years Front Desk experience Rooms Forecasting and/or Budgeting an asset Understanding of Yield and Revenue Management an asset Proficiency in excel worksheet application Demonstrates superior customer service skills Exemplifies Coast’s core values and enjoys working in a culture of accountability Able to work overnight shifts including those on weekends and holidays Coast Hotels offers a variety of benefits, including competitive wages & benefits, employee discounts, training & development, career advancement opportunities & more! Requirements

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of front desk experience and a secondary school diploma, with hospitality-related education preferred. Proficiency in Excel and an understanding of revenue management and forecasting are considered assets.
