Requirements

Requires 3 to less than 5 years of experience and a Tool and Die Maker Trade Certification; an equivalent trades certificate or experience is also noted for education. Patternmaking and tool-and-die fabrication experience are relevant, including work with metal patterns, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and various types of dies.
