Job summary
This is a Seasonal Part Time contractual position, at Kitchener Auditorium will start around last week of August 2026 and goes until June 2027. Prepares food in accordance with applicable corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service is provided at all times. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Lead, coach, and support kitchen team members during game days and events while maintaining a positive and productive work environment. * Prepare, cook, and plate food items according to recipes, quality standards, and service expectations. * Coordinate and oversee mise en place and kitchen setup to ensure efficient high-volume service. * Ensure all food safety, sanitation, labelling, dating, storage, and product rotation procedures are followed. * Monitor food quality, inventory levels, and kitchen operations, reporting shortages or issues to management. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen, ensuring equipment is properly cleaned and maintained. * Communicate effectively with concessions, warehouse, banquet, and operational teams to ensure smooth event execution. Here’s how we’ll know you’ll be successful in the role: * Proven cooking experience, including experience as a restaurant cook or prep cook. * Food Safety Certification required. * Certificate from a recognized cooking school. * Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures. * Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks. * Familiar with industry’s best practices. * Able to work independently and as part of a team. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position. The hourly wage rate for this position is $20. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
