Cowan Insurance Group is looking for a Receptionist to join our Hamilton team! This position reports to the Manager, Personal Insurance and serves as the first point of contact, delivering exceptional customer service to visitors and clients. As a receptionist, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment, managing external and internal mail and transferring calls to the correct lines of business. You thrive on providing exceptional customer service in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Your communication skill both verbal and written are clear and professional. You work effectively on your own while collaborating seamlessly within a team. This position is based onsite in our Hamilton office from Monday to Friday. What you will do: Greet walk-in clients and prospects in a courteous and professional manner Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls promptly Prepare, receive and distribute incoming mail Maintain supplies and front office manuals Receive and process client payments Managing incoming faxes and email inquiries Retrieve and scan policy documents Providing administrative support to other departments as needed Performing other duties as assigned What will you bring: Previous reception experience is an asset Strong customer service and a caring attitude Demonstrates sound judgement, ethics and integrity Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize and adapt to work in a fast-paced work environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset Who we are: Proudly independent and Canadian-owned, Cowan Insurance Group has been a true market leader in the insurance industry since 1927. Requirements
Previous reception experience is an asset, along with strong customer service, sound judgment, integrity, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary education is an asset, as is proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
