Dart's Scarborough manufacturing facility is looking for a Baler to manage paper scrap, support production teams, and help maintain a safe and organized workplace. Location: Scarborough, ON | 2121 Markham Road, M1B 2W3 Starting Rate: $22.63/hour (fixed & non-negotiable) Shift: 8-hour / COP Schedule | All Shifts Required What You'll Do... You'll be responsible for the safe and efficient baling of paper scrap materials while maintaining cleanliness and supporting production operations. Your day-to-day will include: Following all safety policies, GMP requirements, food safety standards, and quality procedures Baling trim, cup scrap, and blanks according to color and recycling requirements Operating manual and automatic baler equipment safely and efficiently Transporting completed bales from the baler to the weigh scale and recording bale weights accurately Loading weighed bales into designated truck containers for shipment Ensuring production lines, GEMS, blanking, and leak testing stations have sufficient empty scrap bins available Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the baler room and surrounding work areas Working effectively with Utility Operators, Production Operators, and other team members to support production needs Communicating operational issues, equipment concerns, and safety observations to supervisors Completing all required paperwork and documentation accurately and on time Supporting continuous improvement efforts and performing other duties as assigned What You'll Need... Strong commitment to safety, attendance, quality, and continuous improvement Ability to work in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Knowledge of manual and automatic baler equipment A valid Lift Truck Operator's license Experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment Ability to accurately complete production records and documentation Strong verbal and written communication skills Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting, climbing, standing, and working in changing temperature conditions Ability to work safely around moving equipment and production machinery Schedule & Union Environment This is a unionized position, and union membership is mandatory upon successful completion of the probationary period.
