We are currently seeking a Development Lead to join our dynamic team and work with one of our client, a leading bank in Canada Contract duration: 6 months with strong possibility of extension Role type: Hybrid (2 days /week in office required) Role Overview The Development Lead will provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on in the development of scalable, secure, and high-quality web, cloud, and mobile applications. The role will focus on Angular, AWS Lambda, and mobile application development, particularly for digital wallet and financial applications. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor development teams while providing hands-on technical direction. Design and develop applications using Angular, AWS, and AWS Lambda. Lead development of digital wallet and financial applications. Develop responsive and secure Angular-based user interfaces. Support mobile application development using Ionic/Capacitor, Native iOS, or Native Android. Develop and integrate REST APIs, backend services, cloud services, and mobile platforms. Participate in architecture, technical design, code reviews, and troubleshooting. Collaborate with architects, product managers, business analysts, QA, and other stakeholders. Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with business requirements.] Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of software development experience with experience as a Technical/Development Lead or Senior Full Stack Developer. Strong hands-on experience with Angular. Strong experience with AWS, particularly AWS Lambda/serverless development. Full Stack development experience with APIs, backend services, and databases. Mobile development experience with Ionic and Capacitor OR Native iOS OR Native Android. Experience with digital wallets, payments, banking, or financial applications is highly desirable. Strong understanding of application architecture, APIs, security, and cloud integration. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Strong communication, leadership, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Experience in banking, fintech, digital payments, or transaction processing. Experience with secure applications handling sensitive financial/customer data. AWS certification is an asset. Experience leading distributed or cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Requires 7+ years of software development experience, including technical or development leadership or senior full-stack work, with strong hands-on Angular and AWS Lambda/serverless experience. Candidates should also have full-stack API and backend experience, mobile development experience, knowledge of architecture, security, and cloud integration, and strong communication and leadership skills; financial-sector experience and AWS certification are preferred or advantageous.
