Mutual Fund Operations Analyst Position Overview We are seeking an Accountant II with 2–4 years of experience in accounting, financial services, or banking operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and Excel skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a high-risk, compliance-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Process mutual fund trades and settlements. Investigate and resolve transaction breaks, discrepancies, and exceptions. Handle FundSERV transactions and money movements. Use advanced Excel functions, including formulas, pivot tables, and macros, to support operational processes. Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and financial reports. Support budgeting activities and prepare periodic reports comparing budgeted versus actual costs. Maintain and analyze financial and accounting records. Respond to customer inquiries and provide effective support when required. Ensure compliance with operational, accounting, and regulatory procedures. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Analyze financial information and identify trends or discrepancies. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve operational and accounting-related issues. Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. 2–4 years of experience in accounting, banking, financial services, or a related field. Strong experience with MS Excel, including: Formulas Pivot tables Spreadsheets Macros Proficiency with MS 365, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes quickly. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles. Ability to work in a compliance-focused environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with mutual fund operations. Experience with trade settlements. Experience with FundSERV. CSC certification. Previous banking or financial operations experience.
