Job summary
Vaughan, ON Industrial Services You’ve been a top-performing Sales Rep. You’ve hit the numbers, earned the recognition, and built a solid reputation both internally and within your industry. You’ve now moved beyond being the individual contributor and your biggest wins come from building great sales teams - helping others perform, grow, and achieve their own success. Does this sound like you? The Opportunity Our client is a highly successful, profitable, and rapidly growing industrial services business with a dominant position in their market. With continued investment and expansion underway, they are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead a sales team based within the GTA and SW Ontario. You will work shoulder to shoulder with your Sales Representatives, spending time in the field, understanding their territories and customers, and providing real-time coaching, feedback and support. You will help your team become more organized, more accountable and more effective in how they manage their territories, engage customers and deliver service. As the business continues to expand, so will your team and your scope of responsibility. This is a progressive opportunity for a sales leader who wants room to stretch, learn and grow alongside an ambitious organization. What You'll Be Doing Lead, coach and develop an existing team of highly effective Outside Sales Representatives across Ontario Spend meaningful time in the field alongside your team, attending customer meetings, observing sales behaviours and providing practical, on-the-spot coaching Establish clear expectations around activity, territory management, customer engagement, revenue and profitability Hold representatives accountable to individual budgets, targets and commitments Lead forecasting, pipeline reviews and regular one-on-one meetings Help Reps build stronger territory plans and identify opportunities for new business and account growth Improve the quality and consistency of customer engagement and service delivery across the team Use sales data, CRM activity and market intelligence to identify gaps, opportunities and areas requiring additional focus Support representatives in prioritizing their time, organizing their desks and managing increasingly complex territories and customer groups Recruit, onboard and develop additional Sales Representatives as the Ontario business continues to expand Build succession and development plans for your team, identifying strengths and opportunities for continued growth Partner closely with operations and senior leadership to ensure the sales organization is aligned with the broader needs of the business Maintain a strong understanding of competitive activity, customer needs and changing market conditions Who We're Looking For You have been a successful Outside Sales Representative yourself, but you have made the transition into people leadership. You know that your greatest impact and job satisfaction now comes through the success of your team. You are an involved Sales Manager. You want to understand what is happening in each territory, what your Reps are working on, where they are encountering roadblocks, when they are struggling, and where you can help. You are comfortable moving between strategic planning, forecasting and performance management one day, and riding alongside a Rep and coaching through customer calls the next. You Will Bring Proven experience leading and developing an Outside Sales team A successful background in B2B outside sales, ideally within industrial services, industrial distribution, building products, construction services, or another similar environment. Strong coaching and talent-development skills Experience managing team budgets, forecasts, pipelines and sales performance The ability to hold people accountable while maintaining trust and engagement Strong organizational skills and the ability to help others improve how they manage their territories, priorities and manage workload A collaborative leadership style and willingness to work closely across sales, operations and senior leadership Comfort working in a fast-paced, growing organization where responsibilities and team size will continue to expand An advocate for your team who can work across the wider business to remove obstacles, secure the support and resources they need, and represent their interests when appropriate. Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field is not required, but will be regarded as an asset Why This Opportunity? In return, they want to give their people more: more development, more exposure, more learning, more responsibility, and more opportunity to stretch their careers. You will join an organization with strong leadership, clear direction, and a differentiated position in its market.
