Role Description The Snow Removal Technician (Seasonal) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mississauga, ON. The Snow Removal Technician will be responsible for clearing snow and ice from driveways, walkways, and small commercial lots using shovels, snow blowers, and other equipment. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring weather conditions, responding promptly to snowfall events, applying salt or ice melt, and ensuring safe, clean access for clients. The role also involves basic equipment maintenance, safe handling of tools and materials, and communicating professionally with customers and the team. Technicians are expected to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on snowfall. Qualifications Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work, including lifting, shoveling, and operating snow removal equipment for extended periods. Strong reliability and time management skills, with a commitment to arriving on time and responding quickly during snow events. Attention to detail and safety awareness, including careful clearing of surfaces, proper use of salt/ice melt, and adherence to safety procedures. Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with other technicians and interact respectfully with customers. Willingness to work in varying and sometimes harsh weather conditions, including early mornings, nights, and weekends as needed. Basic mechanical aptitude for routine care of shovels, snow blowers, and related equipment is an asset. Previous experience in snow removal, landscaping, or outdoor labor is an asset but not required; training will be provided. Access to reliable transportation to job sites in Mississauga, ON; valid driver’s license is required. Must be available for a set schedule plus on-call. Language skills are an asset.
