Eden Valley Poultry Incorporated is seeking a 2nd Shift Sanitation Worker to join our Team. Reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor. Will be responsible for sanitizing of all production and any production related equipment that the operator is assigned to at Eden Valley Poultry. This individual may be responsible for the operation of equipment to facilitate the cleaning process. The sanitation operator will ensure all work performed adheres to all organizational standards as well as safety regulations and guidelines. This is a labour-intensive position requiring individuals to perform repetitive tasks and stand for long periods of time. Why work for Eden Valley Poultry? Job Duties: * Operate and address manual and automated equipment in the sanitation process as required. * Perform all functions as designated by Eden Valley Poultry Inc.’s instruction while operating specified equipment in a safe manner. * Follow all sanitation procedures as instructed. * Recognizing areas of defect in the cleaning process and taking appropriate actions to rectify them. * Perform all work to organizational standards to ensure result meets quality standards. * Determine and report product and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate authority including your supervisor. * Work effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity and efficiency. * Follow all standard operating procedures and designated organizational as well as provincial and federal safety guidelines. * Ensure all equipment is operated according to equipment manufacturers instructions and safety guidelines are followed. * Participate in educational and training opportunities applicable to the position. * Other duties shall be assigned as required. Requirements * High School Diploma preferred. * Previous sanitation work considered an asset. * Willing and able to follow specific instructions. * Ability to measure and calculate the metric system. * Ability to perform repetitive tasks with little supervision. * Ability to work as a team. * Commitment to accuracy and detail oriented. * Ability to perform under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment. * Can work from 11:00PM- 7:00AM Work Conditions * Highly repetitive tasks. * Ability to stand and reach for long periods of time. * Heavy lifting required. * Manual dexterity required. * Ability to work various shifts if employed as a call in. * Overtime as required.
