Competitive Salary: $71,000-$73,000 gross annually, based on previous experience & education Job Duties Include Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine or Senior Chefs, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Provide professional and proactive guest service while supporting colleagues, conducting shift briefings, and maintaining open communication with venue managers. Ensure consistency in food preparation, follow hotel recipes and standards, and enhance food products through menu development and presentation. Balance operational, administrative, and staffing needs, including scheduling, coaching, and mentoring culinary colleagues. Manage inventory and ordering through Birchstreet, maintain proper food levels, and oversee labor productivity. Handle disciplinary actions, assign daily workloads, and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required experience: Red Seal Journeyperson Cook Certification or international equivalency Or Completion of Rouxbe Culinary Foundations level 1 & 2. Receiving certification in both with a grade greater than 90% and 54 months (7,020 hours) experience in relevant workplaces Your Skills & Qualifications 3-4 years of culinary supervisory/leadership experience, preferably in a luxury or large kitchen environment. Safe Food Handling Certification. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Physically able to lift, carry, and pull up to 50 lbs; constant standing and walking throughout shifts. Comfortable working with kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, mixers, fryers, steamers, and freezers.
