Number of Openings: 1 Worker Type: Permanent Position Overview: As a Component Cleaner at OEM Remanufacturing, you will be responsible for cleaning incoming RUC cores following receipt to prepare components for cleaning, inspection and quotation. In addition to this, you will play a key role in our contamination control by contributing to housekeeping duties and maintaining cleanliness in your area. Job Description: Correctly and efficiently prep Idler & Roller cores for washing Cleaning of cores utilizing a high pressure washer Maintain, organize and clean RUC core bank Clean parts using Goff machine, Mart washer, Blast booth cabinet including buffing and grinding tools Perform other duties as required in production Qualifications: A minimum of 6 months working in Wage Grade 1 or higher (internal candidates) Strong organizational skills and ability to follow work instructions Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds Mechanical aptitude and background is preferred Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively Experience cleaning components and high-pressure washing preferred Previous experience in a heavy-duty equipment facility is preferred A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner and comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures Note: This posting is for a static day shift scheduled Monday - Thursday; 10 hours per day Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement Applicants must apply with either an updated Professional Profile on Workday or attached resume to be considered Will require successful completion of drug and alcohol testing, a criminal background check, and a medical assessment Hourly Rate: $25.46 - $32.89 / Hour Union Membership: This is a unionized position. Requirements
Candidates need strong organizational skills, the ability to follow work instructions, and the ability to regularly lift and handle materials weighing up to 40 pounds; internal candidates must have at least six months of Wage Grade 1 or higher experience. Mechanical aptitude and component-cleaning experience are preferred, and candidates must communicate effectively in English, wear a respirator after fit testing, and comply with safety policies.
