Location: Downtown Vancouver, BC | 100% In-Office Key Accountabilities: Assess and underwrite specialty personal lines risks with precision, applying your authority level to make confident decisions that drive business growth. Be the go-to resource for our brokers - answering inquiries with expertise, solving problems proactively, and building relationships that turn one-time quotes into long-term partnerships. Execute underwriting instructions for renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and new business. Champion Forward's culture, values, and brand promise. Qualifications: 3-5 years in the personal lines insurance industry with hands-on underwriting or broker experience. CAIB, CIP, or other relevant industry designations (or active progression toward completion). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills—you can explain coverage nuances clearly and build rapport with brokers. Customer service instincts that go beyond the transactional—you genuinely care about solving problems and exceeding expectations. Advanced proficiency with MS Office and comfort learning new underwriting platforms—tech-savvy is essential in our environment. Proven ability to perform under pressure and consistently deliver without compromising quality. Collaborative, inclusive, and transparent working style—you thrive in team environments and believe the best ideas come from open dialogue. Successful completion of a criminal record check. Salary Range: CAD $58,000-$75,000 *Actual pay may be below or above range based on candidates' knowledge, skills, and level of ability relative to expectations for the role applied to.
